On friend of god what is the line B for. Is there a way to get it for 4 string guitar...
The "B" line is for the low B string on a 5 string bass. Usually when I play it, I'm playing a 5 string, so I play it higher on the neck (closer to the body where the fret to fret distance is shorter). So the tab I've written shows me playing the F# in the 7th position on the B string. If you play the song on a 4 string, you would play the F# at the 2nd fret on the E string.
If you wanted to move the whole tab to a 4 string you could move everything to the next highest string (B goes to E, E goes to A, etc) and reduce by 5 fret positions (7 becomes 2, 9 becomes 4, etc).
So
Who am I that you are thinking of me? That you hear me when I call
G-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A---7------------------------------7--6--------------------------------9------------9----------7---------
E-------------------------------------------9-------------------------------------9-----------9-------------
B--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
becomes
Who am I that you are thinking of me? That you hear me when I call
G-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D---2------------------------------2--1--------------------------------4------------4----------2---------
A-------------------------------------------4-------------------------------------4-----------4-------------
E--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You could use either of the above tabs on a 4 string bass (since there are no notes actually being played on the B string)
Peace,
James
