Tell me just one thing; does the movie live up to all the hype and expectation that it has received?

I had some issues..... but my kids loved it.   The whole scene, at the house looking for the glasses,  unneccessary.

John Tuturro ( or whatever his name is.... from  Do the right Thing.......   horrible)

Special effects ( off the charts,   this basically saved it for me)

I know that they had to appeal to the kids,  but X-men 3 did it just as well, without being corny ( in my opinion).

Scene at the house WAS extra, but I was cool with it.

John T WAS corny. They didn't have to make his character that way, AT ALL. But, I could live with it.

*side bar* X-Men 3 SUCKED!!!*end side bar*

Let me just say that this movie is what a SUMMER Blockbuster is supposed to be. Period.

I highly recommend it!!!

Next up, Live Free or Die Hard, as soon as I get the chance.

Well we just returned from seeing Transformers, and we loved it.  SJ thank you for referring this movie.  It most definately was the best movie I have seen this summer.  There were certain things that could have been left out, but it was great.

I only took my two older daughters, because of the rating.  Several cuss words, and a few sexual content, and the show was great.  I totally will tell others to see it.  I don't see how they did the things they did.

Anyone ever see "Awakenings", with Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro?  It was made in 1990, but I saw it for the first time today.  Great, touching movie.  DeNiro was AMAZING in this film.  His performance alone makes the movie a must-see, IMO.

I'm with you "T-Block" I wouldn't say that the movie X-MEN 3 sucked, it simply didn't live up to the hype or expectation. To be honest all the best bits I saw in the movie I saw during the trailer. Don't make me pay £6.40 to watch the film that had nothing better than the trailer I watched for free.

they crammed too much into X3 with the idea that it would be the last.  It would have been much better if they just made it into a 2 part ending and develop the story line more.

I haven't even seen Rise of the Silver Surfer because they completely change Galactus, but i guess they are limited to what they can present.

I have hope for the latest Harry Potter movie,(don't preach on witchcraft cause Harry Potter is fantasy... not what real witchcraft is about)
I enjoy the books and the movies with the incredible special effects.  That woman can sure write a book.  By the way the last book is due out very soon... sad that they killed you know who in book 6, curious what Harry and his friends will do in 7

I'm looking forward to the next Harry Potter movie as well.  I like all of them, but I don't read the books cuz I hate reading books. I'll just stick to da movies.  I look at it as pure fantasy and entertainment, ain't trying to cast no spells.

I do the audio books from the library... I rip them to mp3 and take them with me on the road and work.

I fall asleep when I read, thus I use the cd's

Harry Potter IS witchcraft but for the sake of this thread we will just leave that alone ;)

thank ye...

but seriously we have to agree that nearly all of hollywood's productions are not only secular but carnal.  There is questionable content in everything.  We just have to educate ourselves and teach our children what is right and what is sin.  Also that a movie is a movie and it not reality, computers and special effects make the impossible possible.  Do not try at home!
