It's not bad.

I think you could do with more dynamics; make the piece more dramatic. It needs to have a rise and fall quality to it (called crescendo and decrescendo, musically)

You also might want to change the instrumentation of the melody; first the violin, then the piano, maybe have a trumpet with some brass harmony or something (I'm just coming off the top).

It's better than I could ever think of doing, so Big Ups to ya, man. Keep up the good work. ;)

Ok, try this.

Your piece starts out rather mellow in the beginning, and then suddenly becomes louder and broader, with the use of the brass. Cut that and save it for later in the piece. Truth be told, it might go better at the end.

Keep it mellow and simple. don't do so much in the beginning save it for towards the end. Feel me?

There's a piano run towards the end of the piece, I like that. Arpeggiate, with the piano, more. don't just play the melody the same way with both the piano and the strings.

That drum thing at the beginning with the cymbals, don't use it there; it's too early for that kind of dramatic effect, I think.

You want to try and think less it more in the beginning, then fill with the bigger sounding instruments towards the end.

Anyway, keep at it dude!! ;)
