Website for chorded songs...
« on: July 11, 2007, 10:23:59 AM »
Here is a website that I use to get chords for many songs that we play at church. Hopefully it will be of some use to some of you if you haven't already visited the website.

Good deal, that is what I was hoping it would do. I have done the same. I have my own book put together. I listen to the cd and follow along and knowing the chords I can then put together my own licks and patterns as well. To me it is much better than the tabs. They usually will update the website every 30-60 days with additional songs. Personally I like to get sheet music because I read music really well and it has cut down the learning curve for me on alot of songs in a short period of time. I can memorize and then incorporate as I learn.

The owner of that site is a global moderator on this site. :D When you do use chorded songs you want to check it against the CD. The chords and bass lines can be off sometimes because the poster played what they could.

True, good advise. So far on the songs I have used there haven't been any problems but I do that anyway as a part of my preparation.

You should check out http://www.musicnotes.com. That site has a lot of gospel charts that can be downloaded. However, it can get expensive. It costs about 5.25 per song. But, if you really need a song, it works.
