I need help with scales. Can someone put me on to playing scales? Where do i begin? I play the basic pentatonic box scales.

Start with your basic major scale. What kind of help do you need? Do you need to know when to use a particular scale? The major scale will pretty much fit anywhere within any given key.

There's a lot of talk on here about scale theory and application. Search, or fish back through the last 4 or 5 pages.
If what you need isn't there, like strat said, let us know exactly what you're looking for.

Hello and thanks for the reply,
Im basically looking for when to play them and in elementary style how do I play them. What indiviual notes make up a scale and all that, anything.

Thanks, Strat, I was feeling rude cause I was at work and didn't have time to fish around for something for them lol
