Joe Walsh had a fun set on there, too. My boy John Mayer played, but it wasn't the trio, just his album stuff (which is also very good, but less guitar oriented--nice solo on City Love, though--that song makes me laugh since I moved to Columbus from a little town south of Dayton for my wife lol)).

well you guys have ruined my take. i was gonna (and still will) use a lil riff Joe Walsh did off of the Crossroads dvd, but it looks like everyone and their cousin has seen it!

we'll see if you can pick it out anyway...

lol. sad truth is if nobody had seen it, still probably wouldnt be impressive, lol. im just gonna wing it and have fun. after listening to the takes ive heard (only dave's and jayp's so far) ive realized i probably should be more structured in my approach. but hey, is what it is for right now. im just excited about what we've got goin on here.

anyone else realize people from all over the US (even Canada  ;)) are jamming together? really sinking in how amazing technology is.

got a lil off topic didnt i?

As far as gospel guitar... most anything J. Dubose and CeCe Winan's guitarist Ricky....something.

By far though... Andy Timmons is my favorite guitar player.  It's hard to pick one solo of his, but "Cry for You" is my favorite AT song.  He's got a good ear for harmony... makes that guitar sing.
Stevie didn't play on Clapton's Crossroads DVD.  He died a long time ago.  I wish he had though.  He's one of my all time favorite guitarists.  No disrespect intended.  I just thought it was funny when I read it.  ;D

WHOOPS!!! I'm not trying to ressurect SRV!!! That's not my calling! I meant Steve Vai!!! STEVE VAI!!!
