Dorothy Love Coates and the Gospel Harmonettes

Has anyone on here ever met or seen Mrs. Coates and her group sing live? Did anyone know them personally?  Maybe there are some musicians here from the Birmingham Area.

Hmmm...who here is old enough... by the way Dorothy passed a few years ago. Love their music though. Just sent a cd to my mom for her b-day.

Yes.... I know she passed away. I spoke to her two times before her death. The only two members alive are Mildred and Evelyn Starks.
