Keyboard Question..need help
« on: July 12, 2007, 12:07:49 AM »
So I went out and got a Yamaha MM6, this is my second non-weighted keyboard...I never mastered the first. Me transitioning from a heavily weighted acoustic piano, to a fully weighted triton was hard and now the non weighted yamaha, I'm having major touch sensitive problems with the keyboard sounds and I can't move around the same...does anyone have any tips other than practicing on the board? Thanks!!

I suggest getting a refund on the mm6 and getting the mo8. if it's too expensive find a used one on craigslist for around $1100?
or getting a new/used M-Audio 88 key midi controler  and hooking it up to the mm6, but you may as well get a mo8 cuz the action on the m-audio is terrible and hard to play

go back and start practicing your scales and runs in every key until you develop the feel you had before. if feel a musician should learn to use everything, that way when something different comes along, it will be no discomfort about it because you are no stranger to it.
