Yeah I have days like that. A lot of times, people cant tell but you know for yourself that youre not having a good performance. I hate it when you get to church and the monitor mix is all screwed up and it was perfect in rehearsal. That can definately cause you to lose your feel.
...dude, there you go. LOL I feel you on that though. Last Sunday I had a better mix playing without my headphones than with them.
My ears are ringing because of that stunt.
(Drums behind the glass.) My mix has got to be right. If it isn't, I can be playing good but I'll always feel lost or like if I'm draggin' the time or something.
I can honestly say that my role has changed to time keeper when I play do to the fact that a few musicians/singers at church have time issues. I really don't like that because everyone is responsible for the time.
