We can definitely try and set a time. I would like to make this suggestion and hopefully expedite things. To keep it simple, let's try a 1 player keeper this year. That player could be anybody that you drafted or have on your team at the end of the season that was NOT picked in rounds 1 and 2. I say that because it makes it more competitive to have your "studs" rotated every year. Plus we can see how good your drafting skills really are. The following year you lose that corresponding pick. In other words, if you drafted Carson Palmer in the 4th round and you choose him as your keeper, then he is essentially your 4th round pick next year. If it is somebody you picked up via trade or free agency, we can still track the transactions to a draft pick. With that you would have to keep in mind that if you trade for someone that was drafted in the 1st or 2nd round you couldn't keep him for next year. (Man the more I explain this the cooler it sounds!!!)
Any more explanation needed? Let me know what ya'll think about that, pros and cons, etc.
