....Like writing a song you say is anointed...then selling it for money....or Sermons and stuff like that...Should a Preacher demand a price to bring the word?....What does the word say?...or does it even go there?

That's funny.  I was just asking my wife if it is proper to have a copyright on God's word, like the NIV.  I have a computer Bible program with all these different Bibles in it.  But it don't have the NIV, RSV, and some other ones.  The guy who made the program said he wanted to add the others but he would had been sued by the copyright owners (they specifically told him that) unless he pay royalties.

I thought, Hmmm.  So that's not God's book, it theirs?  Just a thought...

Did you have to pay for the program?

Yeah, my worship program doesn't have NIV, either.  I wonder if you can get sued for quoting the NIV?  Somebody needs to tell me now, because I can't afford all that, lol.  I'll quote the good old KJV, that's how I know it anyway.

Thats a good question! I don't know if you could get in trouble 4 qouteing the NIV, I would think as long as you put NIV next to it you wouldnt get in any trouble.

That's not the same thing.  In that case, I can go one step further and say all bibles should be free.  I have no problem buying a bible.  I feel that, if it's God's words, you can sell it but you can't copyright it.  As soon as you do that you're saying that it's your words and nobody can copy or quote it without your permission.

Yes, that's true.  But you shouldn't have to protect yourself if you're quoting and/or using God's words.

It's not God's word that they're legally copyrighting, it's the New International version of the Word that they're copyrighting.
When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.
