Fighting in the Church

A friend just sent me
this video
, and it got me to thinking about all the church fights I've witnessed or heard of since moving to Atlanta... have you ever witnessed or heard of a church fight?

(As disturbing as it is, I gotta admit, I laughed out loud when they actually started fighting).  What is the church coming to?

There was this one, on Easter when I was a kid.  These two ladies were mad dogging each other all day and then while the kids were wrapping up the Easter egg hunt, they just started duking it out...LOL ended up on the ground in they're Easter Sunday best -- and these were some sharp sisters!  They were kind of old, definitely too old for that, both of them are now deceased.  Then one of them hauled my dad (the pastor) into court to testify about who started it, but he didn't see who started it, and he said that in court.  She was mad at him for years behind that one, lol.

It could have been fights at our church, plenty, but my Pop was like you know what it's time for you to roll up outta here, you startin too much confusin and division in the church

You know, even saved people have disagreements, and even get physically on rare occasions... but they come back together, ask forgiveness and get things right, and move on.  But this is totally different.  This is a product of YEARS of strife going on in that church.  That's what makes this so ridiculous. 

Root of bitterness, my foot... they got roots, branches, leaves, and some foul fruit.

I totally said the exact same thing on your "a."  I was like, she must be a leftie or something... or maybe she was trying to think before she hit?  Or asking God to stop her?  I don't know, but that was hilarious... and then it just got funniER when dude slapped her back!!!!!  I couldn't believe my eyes.  Had to watch it 13 times!!!  LOL

Wait, but how 'bout when dude is like, "naw, let her go, let her go."  And then the other guys were arguing, "No, but she hit him first, but she hit him first."    :D  :D  :D  :D

It reminds me of my favorite Cheers episode when Diane slaps the crap out of Sam and without even a split second's hesitation, he slapped her RIGHT back.  Immediately.  It was HILARIOUS.

It's a sad situation, but I can't help but laugh.
