Here's the deal.  Lebron is the best player in the NBA *who hasn't won a championship*.

Kobe is the best player in the NBA who have won a championship.

Only one way to remove them asteriks baby.

I think I can go along with this.

Put it like this. Kobe won't give Phoenix and/or the media a chance to dog him like they are doing LBJ today. The only reason I feel that Kobe's still at the top is because LBJ hasn't developed a winner's mentality. He doesn't have that killer instinct. When/If he ever gets that, will be the day he takes the top spot.

I disagree with the winner's mentality thing, but I agree with everything else.

I definitely can't get with the "winner's mentality" statement.  As soon as I read that, him scoring the team's last 25 points in an epic performance in the playoffs comes to mind.  That one on one duel with Pierce in the playoffs (I don't remember the year) was the stuff that legends are made of.  Him averaging nearly a triple-double in the first round of this year's playoffs just doesn't speak of a man that doesn't have a winner's mentality.

Colin Cowherd had maybe the best theory on this situation out of any that I've heard.  Basically he said that Lebron took a backseat on purpose. He was doin the same thing Kobe did against PHX that one year.  He also brought up a GREAT point...

Boston has 'A' players in Rondo, Pierce, Allen/Garnett (depending on the matchup)

LA has 'A' players in Kobe, Gasol, and KILLER role players like Bynum, Artest and Odom

Orlando has 'A' players in Dwight, Nelson, and KILLER role palyers like VC, Pietrus, Lewis

Cleveland has 1 'A' player in LBJ ans mediocre role players

Mo disappeared, Jamison is too little...those are supposed to be LBJ's sidekicks and they are playin like CRAP...so basically Cowherd is sayin that Lebron is tryin to tell ownership that his team isnt as good as the other superstars (which is horribly true)...

Honestly thats the only thing that makes ANY sense to me....They arent really playing any D on LBJ...he showed game 3 that he can score whenever he wants to.  He chose to lay back last night and let his team blow it.  I mean just LOOK at it.....Kobe played like trash against OKC for a few games but his boys pickd him up and won.  Dwight has played horrible and they aint even lost a game yet....Boston ANYBODY can kill you....This is definitely his best team in Cleveland BUT its still not that good...

Oh yeah, the coach stinks too...

I know and saw those performances. What I mean goes more than just the last 4 minutes of a game. LBJ should've been lighting a fire under his guys to pick him up, or sit down. I know I sound like a LBJ hater, but I'm not. I'm just a huge fan of the game and he gave up on the team and himself last night.
We have an obligation to the generation.

IF LBJ is making that statement, hasn't he chosen the absolute WRONG time to make it? :-\

Unless he's REALLY sayin': "This team sucks without me and I'm out!" :-\

...Dwight hasn't played horrible.  ?/?  He made his presence felt in the 1st round on the Defensive end and on both ends in the 2nd Round against Atl.  I can agree with everything else though.

And, if that's the statement he's making, I wouldn't want him on my team regardless of his talent and drawing power.  For the record, I don't think he's making that statement, or any of it's kind at all.

LJ isnt going to NY... More money but less of a team to play with.. LJ, Wade, Bosh all say the same thing they want a ring.. the money will follow regardless where they are at... none of them are going to a team less than what they have now and any team that picks them up will have to promise in writting, signed on the dotted line, there will be a number two and 3 person able to score 20 and 10...

IDK what hes sayin....but i know what I see.

Fact remains that his team is really puttin their foot in it.  Like come on....he has NO player to pick him up....Cleveland is all make or break on him...which is way unfair.  And by ownership doing the dumbest things ever, hes gettin clearly frustrated.....

BTW...i like dwight...so anything less than like 20/15/3 is totally unacceptable.......

Thats whats gonna make this free agency soooooooooo dope.....cuz all the teams can get somebody +1

NY has the cap room to go get two and keep david lee possibly

Nj has the cap room to go get one and they got god young players to develop

Chi-town can go get one to play wit D-Rose

Miami can go get one to play wit D Wade or get 2 different ones

...let me give you something else to think about.  I heard about this on Mike & Mike.  The New Jersey Nets' near future looks very promising.

...LBJ can pack the new arena in Brooklyn where they will move.  They'll also have plenty of good picks in the Draft Lottery and again, lots of money.  hmmm...

...someone told me that Chicago is showing interest in Dwayne Wade as of late and I know D. Wade wouldn't mind gowing back home.  That would be sweet!

The location of that arena is about 20 minutes from my house.  I would be buying Nets tickets like there's no tomorrow.  I hear Jay-z is trying to woo James to NY.  As much as I'd love it, It's hard to see him leaving Cleveland.
