first off, if we were sure on title OR the artist, that would help. Secondly, if it were in the proper forum I would try to if I had the time. Lastly, I think we severely hinder our developement by always letting other people figure things out for us. You'll never develop an ear or an understanding of how chords fit together in a song if you let someone else figure it out for you. Not to mention that google is your friend. (even though the shets you find alot of times aren't 100% accurate, they can get you headed in the right direction)
that is truth. maybe we should have a post on how to play by/develop your ear??
here are some things that helped me (play by ear mostly)
- learn a buncha chords. no shortcut, lol.
-find a song you wanna learn and figure out the root notes to the chords bein played. on the simplest level, shouldn't be much more than goin up and down your sixth (bass) string. sometimes your fifth, dependin on the chord shape.
-once you find the root note to a chord bein played, cycle through all the chords you know USING THAT ROOT till you find one that kinda hits it close. repeat for the progression.
- cant do with every song, and only knowin barre chords wont get it unless its folk music, lol. j/k.
- but, its a start and your ear will start recognizin the way chords sound. keep learnin chords!
