DECENT DRUM MICS
« on: September 20, 2007, 12:41:25 PM »
Wadup people!!! Yo, I'm looking for some decent inexpensive drum mics. Me and my boys Timmy and Travis Reed do our own recording thing at the church but so far we've been using straight regular singing mics. Not that the sound is all that bad, but it could be a whole lot better and save us some more time as well...So if ya'll got any suggestions, please feel free to holla at a brotha

By the way if you wanna hear some of our material go to my Myspace page:

Yoo, serious talk....go with what I told you.  Ask j_kay how those Sennheisers sound for his toms.  I love the Audix D6 but the AKG D112 is also the trueffff.

Yup - they got it about a few weeks ago, but I forgot to tell you.

The "Senny-senn-senns" are right on the toms.  If they wanted to up the ante, I would suggest the MD421 IIs.

I do not like the Audix F-90's anymore.  I want the Senny's too. :'(  We're having that clipping issue. :-\ >:( >:(

I know.  Man, I want a whole new line of mic's for the church kit minus the SM57 and the ADX-D6.  Everything else has to go. >:(

I was at a studio recording the other night & these guys had a "ribbon" mic on the drums. Not sure of the brand/model or why they did it... it was sitting about 1metre away from the kick but :o MAN! the kick sounded beautiful!
