Gas shortage?
« on: September 20, 2008, 06:38:33 PM »
Any of you have a gas shortage in your area?  As of last night, over 85% of the stations in Nashville, TN were reported to be out of gas.  They just showed a station.truck stop here that had over 100 cars in line at midnight looking for gas.  People are bugging out as many are jumping line trying to be slick.  My area has about 6 stations in it and every last one of them are totally out.  Just imagine if the truck stops run out of diesel.  I pray that doesn't happen. This country will stop.  It's crazy yall.  Let;s see what ole' Dubya does about this.  Will he keep that plane parked?

Our prices are slowly decreasing (very slowly), but I've only seen one station actually run out.

Man, "shortage" doesn't even begin to describe the insanity going on here in Charlotte.  I was gasing up at spots I would have NEVER even thought about going.

The ensuing knocking and pinging is going to cost more than a fill-up at 6.00 a gallon, LOL.

How on earth is it that NY's gas is cheaper than ATL's???  It's $4.17 here for regular.  It was $3.79 before the hurricane.  And yeah, we have one heckuva shortage.  You pretty much have to pass about 6 or 7 gas stations before you find one with gas, and you know you're coming up on one that's open when you see the line from a mile down the road.

'Why' is there such a shortage of gas in some ares?

Because many of the refineries were in areas that were hit by the hurricane, so it's taking some time to get the gas to the different stations that those particular refineries service.
When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.

Maybe because we are near New Jersey ?/?
