Shopping Spree!!!...sort of
« on: October 15, 2007, 11:03:06 AM »
Okay, so the "Who's at Fault" thread inadvertently segued into this topic...

Let's say ALL you have is a 4pc Pearl Export shell pack (10, 12, 14, 22 ), a hi- hat stand, a snare stand, a straight cymbal stand, and a $1500 budget to add this setup. How would you go about doing so?

*Note- No heads are needed for the kit.

Is all the hardware in good shape? If so...

List: Only Suggestions! :-\

 Boom stand(s)
    A. Pearl B-1000 $101.99
    B. Tama Road Pro ** 8) $84.99*
    C. Yamaha CS-945  :-\ $84.99

Ask Funky or somebody for cymbals! AAX's are a good choice though! ;) :) Oh and K's WOWZA :o 8)

DW 5000 or 9000 for pedals. Maybe pick up the DW Hard Core Beater... ;) Like Borat says: "Very Nice!!"

As much as I hate to say this...

1. Sell the Export
2. Get money from selling Export.
3. Buy another kit.

Where is the common sense in this?

Well, the most obvious is the fact that you go from $1500 to "possibly" $2000.
In other words, more money, more drum gear. ;D

Get two more pearl boom stands.

Go to music-go-round.com and pick out a used set of AAX or AA.

Take your 1500 look in the classifieds and find someone selling an older high end kit with cymbals
Mapex Drums, Grant Custom Basses, Carparelli Basses, Istanbul Cymbals,!
