Isn't it amazing what name recognition can do for a beat down, used '62 Stratocaster?  Guitar Center has commissioned a limited run of Custom Shop Lenny Stratocasters for the amazingingly low price of $17,000.  I know what you're thinking: funkStrat, how in the world do you consider $17,000 to be a low price on a guitar?  Compred to what GC paid for the original, it's a steal...of course, I wont be in line to get one any time soon.

I dunno....

....looks like a nice enough Strat.

Perhaps with some Spurzels and a Humbucker in the bridge it might really RAWK! 

Maybe I could even score one of those laser etched "SRV" Fender pickguards on ebay....you know, like the ORIGINAL SRV reproduction Strats had!   8)

Guitar Center DOES have that One Year/No Finance Charge deal going still? Right?

Looks pretty tempting to me! I might be crackin' into the 'ol 401K to get in on THIS great investment deal while they're available!   :)

Fortune has smiled on me when I just stumbled into a TRULY DESIRABLE REPRODUCTION GUITAR from a MAJOR guitar talent!   :o




Now THIS is what I've REALLY always wanted!!
