This is not exclusive to girls, my two oldest, 5 (who likes Xbox) and 3 (who likes Wii) always want to get a game when we go to the store :)

The problem with kids is that they want EXPENSIVE stuff.   Back in the day, I would have been happy with a action figure or car, now little kids want radios, T.V.'s Ipods.  Its crazy.
