I hear ya! I'm just saying...Even though the quality isn't good, you still can't beat the price...it's a good price for a person just starting out who doesn't have money...the parent who is not sure if thier child is taking drumming seriously, etc. I guess I shoulda know better than to post that in here...lol...
...okay, look, I apologize if I came at you in an incorrect or harsh manor. It wasn't my intention. It's just that I'm really tired of beginner drummers buying junk and then coming on to the boards to talk bad about companies because their gear doesn't sound like so and so's kit or doesn't sound good, period. I'm also tired of churches buying junk and wasting the churches money on garbage gear. I strongly believe that if you're going to start playing the drums, start off on something good and not those crazy Ol' Skool kits many of us started on. I still remember the headaches of the toms positioned all the way in California and the other one in New York. LOL (Far West - Far East)
...One thing I've learned from Tommy Igoe is that many beginners quit the drums because of crappy gear and wrong set ups. Soooo, he states that a beginner should have good gear (not Pro) so that you can have a nice set up and a nice pleasant sound so that you can be motivated to play and you can practice comfortably. It all makes sense to me.
...the only thing I'll add is that there are many kits out there that are used and in mint condition that you can get for $400 or less. I've seen 'em as well as many others on here. (With hardware and sometimes cymbal packs.) Just something to think about Ms. Cindy.
