Weekend Shed .... November 23
« on: November 23, 2007, 09:40:18 PM »
Im kinda late with this weekends shed. Its like 10:30pm and this is the first time i've been on my computer since Wednesday night. Thank God for 2 days off!!! (I apologize for the folks that didnt)

As we move into this weekend coming off of whatever ride this holiday took us for, I pray that we come into our move for God in full force. I pray for traveling mercy for all who have been in transit to their set destinations. I pray that our hearts and minds are on one accord for giving God the praise and worship, glory, and honor that is due Him. I pray that you use all of us for your glory and your's alone. I pray that all confusion and negativity be bound up and removed from the atmosphere. Let your anointing fall upon every one of us as we do what you have called us to do. In Jesus name, Amen.

Let us go forth and thump in the name of Jesus Christ!!

LGM fam, pray for me. This weekend is our annual youth day/choir day and i'll probably be playin till my fingers fall off. LOL. We've been practicing, but sometimes that all falls apart on the actual day, so pray that that doesnt happen this time. We're gonna have other choirs coming, and I always get really nervous when there's another bass player in the house. So i hope I can just relax and not worry about messing up because i know they're listening to hear what i can do.
For my God... let "Golden Axe" prevail.

I hope that you and the rest of the LGM family had a blessed Thanksgiving enjoying family and friends and most importantly the many blessings God has bestowed upon us all, giving us family, friends, gifts and talents jobs, gigs, and gear to give Him praise glory and honor all while putting a smile on our faces for the joy of being allowed to do what we do. I will be praying for you, the band, and vocals, knowing that regardless God is going to get the Glory, BTW, don't worry about another bassist being in the house, just play with the skills you have, they can only get better with time and practice, remember more than another  bass player listening Jesus is listening, make Him proud.

Blessings.

Again, welcome back Que!

Floaded, thanks for picking up the thread.  God knows your heart and He will see you through.  Don't let the other bassists make you nervous.  Just be yourself and play for the glory of God.  Besides, the other bassists are nervous too! :)

things were crazy yesterday (good and bad).
the morning service the spirit came in and i was going at it on the bass. the preaching was awesome and i had to put my bass back on (i usually put it down and have my bible) and play something. so feelin the spirit im like in this crazy cycle: riff - wipe tears - riff - riff - wipe tears - more tears - riff - turn to scripture - etc. LOL

afternoon service was our Annual youth day service and it started off a bit shaky. our organist showed up late, so im starting praise & worship solo with just the drummer, and i hate that (for one, with just the bass to anchor off of, the singers never seem to stay in key making things even more confusing for me, and 2 if i dont know the songs i cant lay back and my fumbling is put on the spot). but he shows up and we get going.
We did our songs and stuff and our guests did songs, praise dances, mime dances, etc and the program was good.

the only thing was our drummer was too busy and was losing the groove of the song or not getting the tempo right, either draggin the song or rushing it. i gotta work on him with that. Im not a drummer so i gotta find a way to do that.
For my God... let "Golden Axe" prevail.
