A fruity loop 7/ Reason 4 Question???

What are the benifits of having fruity loop as a host to reason? Also in your opionion, which program should be the slave and host? I really need help with this one..! Thanks

I would say set Reason as the slave to whatever sequencing program you use... I personally dislike Reason's sequencer, so I use Sonar to sequence and if I want to use Reason, I use it as a plugin within Sonar ( I don't use Reason much anymore because I route MIDI to different external devices like keyboards now).

I agree cause im not really confortable with Reason's sequencer at the moment. But, I am learning it. Now let me see if i understand, if I used fruity loops as a host to reason, I can create music in fruity loops using reason's insturments?? Or does it mean I must create music in reason then  that audio will be routed to fruity loops??

Basically you can use Reason's instruments from another program.

Yeah man I say going with using fruityloops as the host and reason as the slave. In my opinion, fruityloops has a lot more to offer than reason. The only thing that I that I think reason is better than fruityloops is, their instrumentation. Reasons samples, plugins and, effects are more advance than fruityloops. I think that people would like reason a lot more if the setup of their program was more "new" user-friendly.

Ok coool.....i  see what you saying. I would be cool if reason had the same ease of use as Fruity Loops....but hey....all things arent created easy......

Yep! I also think Reason should be used as slave. Only problem with this is that you only get 16 midi channels in FL studio. So you can't do too much. You're better off using it in a other sequencers like Nuendo

Onr thing that might decided for you is.......Reason can't be a host to Fruity loops!!!!!! It's not set up to be a host software! Me personally....I prefer Reason. Yes the sequencer can be frustrating at times, but once you get that under your belt it's gravy baby!!! But if you have both softwares, the only option you have is FruitLoops as the host and Reason as the slave.

Only thing Fruity Loops has on Reason is the ability to record Audio!
