Quite.  It just isn't the same without the organ.  So much, in fact, that at my church where the organ and piano are at opposite ends of the sanctuary, the band sets up on the organ side.  I default to the organ and use the piano when I need to.

I think it depends on how I feel. Sometimes the piano seems more appropriate other times the organ but the organ is better most Sunday's because of that bass.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

The organ is very important to our service.  I go months at a time without getting on the piano and we don't have a band, just myself and a drummer.

Music isn't critical where you are at but you play 3 boards?/  Anyone find anything funny with that statement?

The organ isn't important at my church mainly because we don't have one, but I do think the organ is a very important part in achieve that traditional gospel sound.

It plays a huge part in our servives. Our HAMMOND C-3 went out on us, but we go a new replacement (a HAMMOND), and it is awesome. We are soon getting the old HAMMOND repaired, and up and running again.

Most television ministries don't highlight their music ministries. Jakes, White, Bryant; you rarely see their choirs or praise teams.

It's like that here too.  The churches that don't have a Hammond are the ones that can't afford one yet.

I usually play organ the entire service at my Adventist church on Saturdays and the AME on Sundays...but this past Sabbath I only played my motif 7 and ran bass on my oxygen 61 through my laptop (reason 3.0) and church ROCKED...in my situation, it depends on the mood of service and the song selection.

Wolfman,  What do you use to amplify your CX3?   At one point, I ran it through 2 amps(Roland KC550 and Peavy KB300)  Now I'm spoiled because it sounds crappy to me when not in stereo.

The organ itself isn't really meaningful, but that organ sound is very meaningful during those high praise times at my church.
