Talking music
« on: November 20, 2007, 10:57:44 AM »
Hey everyone, I'm steadily learning how to play the organ. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on drawbar settings for a chorale sound or smooth mellow tone for talk music during service. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The type of organ we have at the church is a CV3 I believe.

I like to use 804000000  for mellow "filler" music however, I find myself adjusting the drawbars all the time.

Thanks for the drawbar advice, this is my first time on LGM, I'm definantly going to use it. One other thing, there is a funeral I have to play for, do you usually play hymns for the viewing or wake? Or what is usually the best approach to this?

When I used to play at wakes I would just do some slow quiet hymns, nothing hard or fancy
