Whats up LGM Fam! I am in the process of purchasing a new set for my chruches main location (1 church 2 locations). My budget is around $1250 / $1300 to include hardware because I am also getting new heads for two drumsets, a couple bricks of sticks and cymbals aside from the drum budget. Help me out family!!!
So far I have been looking at
1. Tama Superstar Custom SL Hyper Drive $1129.99 W/ RoadPro Hardware
http://www.tama.com/new_product/winter_07/sl-hyperdrive.asp
2. DW Pacific X7 $999.99 W/ 900 Series Hardware

Another option is:
Ddrum
DMF20 Domnion Duo Fade 6 Piece Shell Set (Blue Black Fade)
(DDMF20BBF) $899 W/O Hardware but for that price i can get hardware i want and stay in budget.
I know all of you dont like DDrum but for the purpose which it is needed????!!!!????

Ill say the Tama Superstar, some to most PDP sets have bearing edges that are kinda "off". Also check out Mapex's M Birch series, the quality and quantity are both good for the money.

Scratch what i said about the Superstar. You can find a good number of sets that are of better quality than those you listed for $899-1350(?). I already gave my opinion lets see what the vets have to say.

Here is a bit of advice.. I am not advocating any of those sets but if your going to buy the set PDP set get the best price available.. Check out the guitar center price...
