Getting ready to start Formal Jazz training
« on: January 30, 2008, 11:02:58 AM »
Well I want to broaden my musical boundaries and I've FINALLY found a GOOD teacher that specializes in jazz.

I'll be starting up formal lessons in jazz and jazz theory with Mr. Bill Harrison.

I'll definately be bringing all the things I learn here to LGM ;D

Hopefully I'll start my lessons around Mid Feburary (as soon as I get my car back from the shop).
Somebody put me in the key of E#

Best of luck.  I have a copy of Ed Friedland's Building Walking Bass Lines, and I play with a Jazz Ensemble.  I wish I had more time to practice both. :-\

Go for it! Dont slack off. :D You can really get behind in jazz.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

You will enjoy it, trust me. I got my degree and have not looked back. Lessons will do nothing but open you eyes and ears even wider.

Be Bless

Pray for me I am on my quest for the DH6!
