Well I'm kinda irritated and disappointed.  Took the 210 on the road tonight, and halfway through the service the cab starts farting out as if one or both of the 10s are blown.  It's a 500w rated cab, and the head pushes about 700w, but I was barely at half on the main volume.  There's no way I could have been pushing them too hard at those settings.

Bah.  I'll have to try to listen and see what's blown, then call the guys at Avatar on Monday to try to get this sorted out.  Hopefully the 410 will have a better showing tomorrow.

Bassthumpa, I'm disappointed as well, I hate that this has happen to you if you don't receive the type of customer service from avatar that you feel you ought to I would suggest you ask for your money back and then invest in purchasing a identical set of cabs from David Eden. Again my prayers are with you and I hope the 410's work out better and if not don't allow the enemy to steal your joy simply keep it moving, collect your hard earned dollars and select another manufacturer for your cabinet choices.

I've heard good things from other folks regarding support from the folks at Avatar when things go goofy, so I'm not too worried about it.

On the bright side, the 410 was absolutely THUMPIN' today!  It was a major difference from the muddy sound that that old combo was puting out.  My drummer turned to me right away and said "now that's REAL bass right there!"  I'm very pleased with it after it's debut!

That's great news to God be the Glory, I hope that the issue with your 210 is resolved soon.

I FINALLY got around to testing my 210, and I did indeed blow one of the 10s.  It was my fault, so I was ready to eat the full cost of a replacement 10, but the guys at Avatar only charged half, so that helps.  I could have had a free replacement, but I lost my receipt (which drives me nuts, because I normally keep up with that kind of stuff).  It'll ship out today, and I'm hoping it will be here by Friday.

Good news, I guess... How did you blow it?

We still need to get together and build br'er!

Just cranked it too hard trying to compensate for a church that had terrible acoustics.  Lesson learned.

We definitely need to get together and chop it up... especially if we get our DFW friends to come down.

No doubt, DFW and Maybe we can get S.A. in the place as well.

I always laugh when people say "Chop It Up", I cameo'd on a friends CD on a song named Chop It UP.  This time
I was rappin' and not running the bass.  LOL!
