Singing
« on: December 27, 2007, 01:17:00 PM »
Anybody get tired of singing. I know true singers can go all day. They sing in the car, in the shower at work, watching tv... When I singing at home I will sing a little while then I dont feel like singing any more. lol It's a press when I have to lead in singing at church. I think part of it is that I was ashamed of my voice growing up so now it can be a struggle to sing. I remember friends that love to sing and can throw down do it all the time.

Im trying to break out of that now because Im in a leadership role at church where I have no choice but to sing. :D
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

I NEVER get tired of singing because I absolutely LOVE to sing!  Unfortunately, my love for singing far outweighs my talent for singing... lol.  I'm not what you'd call a "true singer," but I truly love to sing.

I sing in the shower, in the bed, in the car, walking the dog... I sing along with every commercial jingle on TV, on the radio, or anywhere else... I LOVE TO SING and I never get tired of it.  One of the things I miss most about being active in church is singing on the praise team and in the choir.  Even when we had two rehearsals per week and had to minister at 3 services, I still never got tired of singing.
When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.

It is okay to get tired of singing.  Maybe you just need some balance. Sometimes we let people and ourselves put us in a box. People think oh you are a musician so everything that has to do with music you must be involved in or you are a teacher so you must teach whenever there is something going on. Are you involved in other ministries?

Having said all of that, your voice is beautiful and it is a sweet savor to God's ear if you are singing for His Glory. Remember you are not putting on a show, but lifting Him up. So don't worry about how you sound so much as why you SING! http://"I sing because I'm happy and I sing because I am free."

If you are physically tired that means you are out of shape!  :D

Yeah I have to agree with karendj.
I love to sing!!!!  I was praise and worship leader in my church for years and recently handed down the torch to someone else but that has not stopped me.  I still sing in the praise and worship group and in any opportunity that I have to lift up the name of Jesus.  Like LaRue I love to sing in the car, in the shower, tv commercials....etc  :)
Oh by the way you have a BEAUTIFUL voice!!!!!  Keep on singing for the Lord!!!!

Hey Mystery, you know what I LOVE about your singing. It's simple and pure, dude. You just wanna sing your HEART to the Lord, as opposed to, one trying to use their "gift" to sing praises to the Lord. There's a BIG difference.

GREAT STUFF, MAN!!! Real Talk! I wish I had the courage to put something up.  :-[ And, no, before anybody even thinks about asking; not that you would.
