So I was hearing lately about people that play in churches that actually go and take thier laptop with them along with their midi controller/keyboard and actually play off the sounds they have on the laptop from their program.... i'm lookin into it more and more and if any of you guys do it please do give some suggestions on what midi controller and best program for the laptop as far as sounds and recording to where i could hook the controller to my amp as well as the laptop.
The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

I seen something similar to this on New Year's Eve...my friend has a studio and he brought some of his recorded stuff for certain songs...he brought in a beat for "I will bless the Lord" by Byron Cage that went perfect with the song it even had a guitar solo.  I will get some info if this is what you want

I've seen a couple people make this work, but I've seen it not work more than I've seen it work.  Our sax player brought a laptop to use with his midi sax.  They couldn't get anything to come out of it.  I guess I'm just old school and I work with computers all day and I don't trust them on stage.
