Add to my list of things that ya'll don't know in regards to food.

I don't like/eat gravy, turkey, mushrooms, and I wouldn't kill me if I never ate bacon.

I can't hold a conversation very well.  :(

I'm always zoning off into my own world which usually results in me not paying attention to what someone else is saying or doing. Therefore, when they say something, I'm like..'Uh..yeah. Sure."

I love cake....but usually after the frosting is done so am i.  And uh....THAT THING ABOUT WHO'S THE MOST SINGLE PERSON HERE IS DEBATABLE. LOL.

The body of Christ, including LGM, the church, and any other Christian body, is not set up to encourage saints to confess their faults, flaws, sins, errors, mistakes, and habits.  We judge.  We hurt each other.  We treat each other differently.  We gossip about it.  We shun them.  We question their calling or gifts... it's just what we do.  We're human.  :-\

Sure, you have the occasional thread where someone'll say something like "I got angry and told someone off and had to repent,"  ::) or "I was drooling over some man that ain't my husband,"  ::) or "I have a problem forgiving people..."  ::).  But rarely will you hear one of us say, I fornicated last night.  I smoked a blunt last night.  I cheated on my wife last night.  I haven't opened up my Bible since last Sunday.  My tongues are learned, not received from God.  I'm gay and I only got married to a woman because I knew that was the right thing to do.  I had one drink too many at the holiday Christmas party.  I cuss like a sailor.

It's not the person's fault, per se.  It's the body's fault.  We don't allow those kinds of stories.  That's why there's so much closet sin going on and frauds and double lives... not because we don't want to admit we're doing it, but because we CAN'T admit we're doing it.

Anyway, I said all that to say this: most of us here are striving to be holy the best way we know how.  When we talk about the Bible, and gospel music, and church, and love, and food and all that, we talk about the things that please God.  We give a one-sided view, which is what makes you feel like you're coming across more holy than you really are.  But please don't think that you're the only one who has flaws, faults, sins "big" or "little."*  YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

However, I can't close this out without saying that if you know something in you is keeping you from being your best self, work on it.  Don't just accept that it is what it is.  Get rid of it and strive to please the Lord.  Work while it is day, little bruh.







*Yes, I know there are no big and little sins; hence the quotation marks.  ;D

I'm a single mother and scared to death of my 2 children.  I pray that I'm raising them right (my son is 13 and my daughter is 4).... So far, my son is a really good boy .... However, I'm scared to death that my daughter will put me through the same crap I put my own mother through!  Very, very, VERY scared.... i'm surprised my mother has let me live this long...LOL...

So that's one thing most people probably don't know about me - I'm scared of my kids and scared of doing something wrong when it comes to them - I pray for guidance while I watch them sleep  : )  ....Maybe I'm not alone.

To add to my list....Most guys are shocked when they find out that I'm a HUGE football, basketball, baseball, and MAJOR LEAGUE FRiEd Chiccen fan. If you met me you wouldn't believe it.. :o :o :o

Most people don't know that I have a Bachelor's Degree in Ebonics... 8) :D :D :D :D

I know somebody is gonna laugh at me for this but:

I used to hate watching "The Jeffersons" and the first few seasons of "Good Times."

WHY?

Because George Jefferson and James Evans were always yelling and it used to scare me.

I think I was about 12 before I finally eased into watching them without fear. :-[
