This is hottt!!! When u go to produce a track what's ur setup?....Instruments?....Forming the track? Puttin a studio type room in my house and need some ideaz!!!! Thanks!
Oops i missed this post

...
Thanks usmclady02!!
Well, I wouldnt use my setup as a prototype, but this what im working with...
Hardware:
-Yamaha PRS E403 (I use as a MIDI controller)
-Tascam US 122L (Audio interface)
-Tascam LD 74 (Condeser mic)
-Zoom MRT-3 (drum machine)
Software:
-Cubase SE/LE (mostly for recording audio/vocals, and sometimes making tracks)
-FL Studio 7 (for making the tracks)
-Adobe Audition 1.5 (detailed audio editing, and sometimes recording)
-tons of VST's (Virtual instruments and Effects)
Major Software Instruments:
-Steinberg's The Grand SE, Hallion SE, Dcota SE (sp?)
-Sample Tank 2 Free (mostly used for piano)
-Alot of Soundfonts (mostly Orchestra type instruments)
-*too many drums samples to name...lol
-NI B4 organ
-NI Pro 53
-NI guitar rig
-NI Kontakt
-NI Battery 3
*all NI's are demo's except B4*
Instruments (hardware):
-3 Guitars (electric/accoustic)
-Yamaha P90 (stage piano)
-Warwick 5 String Bass guitar
-Pearl 5pc Drums
-Several Amps/Cabinets
...If im making a beat, I usually lay down the drums/percussion down then build around that (melody, bassline, chords, etc).
When im make a worship or praise track I usally lay down some light percussion first (just to keep the rhythm and tempo) then chords, bass, drums, Solo instrument (Sax, Lead guitar, etc..).
....then I mix it (levels, panning, compression, add effects, EQ tweaking, etc) then I put a Limiter/Multi-band compression on the Master Channel, then I listen to it several times (and do minor tweaks if necessary), then I export it to mp3/Wav etc.
I dont have a designated room for my setup, its just in my basement so I mix my tracks on headphones
Since you have a designated room for your setup, I would first recommend soundproofing it (insulating the walls), getting some accoustic treatment (bass traps very necessary especially in small rooms!!!), and getting a
good pair of monitors and headphones.
the rest as up to you and your preference....DAWs, MIDI ctrls, Mics, Instruments(hardware/software) ETC!!
Well, i think I've talked enough...
I would also recommend talking to "themidiroom" or "tkeys86" regarding studio stuff they know alot more than me...

Thanks again!!
PEACE!!
