Flowers can say the 'wrong' thing, in a woman's mind. My issue with this is is WHY VALENTINE'S DAY, as I've stated.

You couple a gesture of friendship with Valentine's Day, and you could be in for problems that one 'ALLEGEDLY' doesn't want.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

Does anybody think he really doesn't want to talk to her "like that"?

Because whenever we talk about situations involving "ex's" she always talks about how she is so consumed with school, work, and the boys that she doesn't even have time to date.

The next sentence is usually about the ex husband and how he keeps the boys some weekends and thinks he still "got it like that"...blah, blah, blah.

I sense (maybe in my "spirit") that a lot of the school/work/boys thing is a cover up for being lonely.

I know better than ANYONE how that one factor weighs down on you on 2/14 of all days, so I wanted to do something to make hers special in spite of what "looks like" a cover up for being lonely.

I'm not saying "I wanna date you".

BUT "for all that you do around here, and for being a smart, educated woman...I hope this Valentine's day will remind you in some way of just how much you mean to other people".

Is that too much?

by the way...she still has the invitation from my 35th birthday party hanging up at her desk because "we don't have too many smart black men that work here and it's an honor working with someone who works as hard as i do"  ;D

I'm surprised nobody has wondered why the invitation is still hanging from December in FEBRUARY and she never made the party.

But it's just a homie-friend type of deal.

Dude you better **** I mean Take her out and show her a nice time ;D ;D

Its obvious that she wants to be "more than friends". She probaly just doesnt want to make the first move.

I don't wanna do that either!!!!!!  LOL!!!!

I think she just respects me for my work and conversation.

It would be like my brothas (Redy and Doubles).  They are happily married men, but some women find them comical and easy to talk to, so they become friends.  The women become like their "play sisters".  Even Sjon (when he is not having one of his days...LOL) can be a pretty cool cat, so we see why women would enjoy being friends with dude.  OR even Keys, this man is a clown!  Always laughing, always cracking a joke...so girls are drawn to him, plus he got talent.  It doesn't mean that every time he makes friends with a girl he wants to...you know!

Cut me some slack, li'l prophet.

Ay man when I have females that are treating me like yours. My curiousity sneaks in and I make a move to see what could be. Some have gone beyond friendship and some stayed on that level. I just wasn't ready for a commitment...

WHY VALENTINE'S DAY?   I answered that already....

because all the references to the ex and what not make it seem like school/boys/work, etc are just cover ups for being lonely...

i know better than anyone how it can feel to be alone on 2/14....dude i would almost rather DIE that have that feeling come over me when people start having stuff delivered to them at work...it bites something terrible!
