I'm not one of the fellas, but here's my 2 cents:

You may be clear about the fact that you don't like her like that.  She may be just "One of the girls", in your eyes.  But if you're not 100% sure that she sees you as a friend, and only a friend...  It's probably not a good idea to send her anything.  Just tell her how much you appreciate her friendship and leave it at that. 

If she does have feelings for you, and you know it, you'll be responsible for leading her on.  Knowing that you're not interested.  Then you'll be left wondering how to get rid of her, and the whole friendship will be ruined.

If the two of you are on the exact same page... I think it would be fine to show your appreciation with gifts.

I have a guy friend who's really cool.  We talk, laugh, and he's alot of fun to be around!  I enjoy his company, but I'm really careful, because even though he does his best to hide it... I know that he likes me.  But I see him as nothing more than a friend and brother in Christ.     

So it's my responsibility to protect him.  In doing so, sometimes I want to do kind things, or say hey let's go to the movies because he's my friend.  But I refrain because I know it would be misread and give false hopes.

We are our brothers keeper!  God would hold me responsible if I send this man mixed signals and lead him on, knowing where we both are.  That wouldn't be right!

Having given my speech, and one of my stories... I do understand that you just want to appreciate a good friend for her kindness, but be careful!

As with anyone I meet, my hearts desire is always to see someone who brings happiness to others be made happy for no particular reason.

She is a real "sweetheart".  Let's put it like this...I think of her the same way I think of Chevonnee (who is happily married).  Chevonee is "that girl".  Whether it's chords to a song, or advice about life...she is "that girl".  It doesn't mean I am in love with her, but having her in my life for the reasons she is there is more of an honor than a curse.

I am really glad to have Tracy as a friend.  She's the creme of the crop when it comes to nice, caring, understanding females.  Everybody needs to be understood.

Sometimes she stands over my shoulder and reads you guys' replies to my posts and she'll break out with "they didn't understand what you meant...but I did".

Oh my God !!!!! I didn't know you thought of me like this Herm...   The fact that we went through some of the same things in the past is what really helps things. Herm you just need to be true to yourself my friend....We can give you all kinds of advice or what have you but the bottom line is only you and GOD knows what's going on inside. Once you get to the point where you can let go of the past, you are gong to make some woman a very good husaband....Real talk!

Let the record show that I am already kinda-sorta talking to someone that I am absolutely crazy about.  She's a step beyond "that girl".  We have a lot of the same interests and are taking things EXTREMELY slow.  The fact that we're both members of LGM makes it even better.  She knows about this situation and she is a Sagitarian and an overall nice person just like me.  I want to have something delivered to her as well, but if SHE gets Dinstuhl's chocolate covered strawberries and sees it as a romantic gift, SHE is entitled to feel that way from me.

As far as Tracy, of course it crossed my mind that she is skinny/bony, but stacked just right in all the right places (I think the kids use the term ghetto-b....never mind).  YES!

But that's because I have eyes and I can see.  It is not because I want her.

In the process of "doing better", I gave up 2:17 (for about 3 months now, consecutively...praying on holding out), so if you're not gonna "get down" why have a serious relationship?  No sir!!!

There is another girl who works here named Erica who came to my birthday party and she is the "office sweetheart" as well.  She brought me a bag of cough drops.  So, if I have flowers delivered to BOTH of them, surely neither of the two can see it as a romantic gesture.

Her "spirit" has been kinda down too...and she is drinking SlimFast for every meal as well.  I want to give her something that says "you're already beautiful" without being romantically suggestive.
