     Does anyone know how to beef up a song??? Like say I have the basic chords to a song, but how do i add the extras in(riffs, runs) and still make it sound like it belongs there?????

Depends on the song, some don't need to be "beefed up".  It also depends on how much time u got between chords, tempo, etc.
