I'm being prejudicial here but I would say go to the David Eden Forum and cop yourself a used
WT 550 and if you have enough cheddar left over cop the 410XLT. You'll be thanking me later.

You're not lying there. That's what I did.

The only thing about not using a P.A. is that you tend to get loud onstage. It's one thing to have the wattage available and another to use the power 'all willy nilly' just 'cause it's there. A large church SHOULD have a P.A.

If you can afford to have more power, I say get it. I have an 800w@4ohm Yorkville that I doubt I'll ever utilize that much power onstage. If I need to be that loud, there has to be P.A. support.

DWBass you be the man without a doubt I only wish I had a chance to shed with you my brother before I left NY. The Yorkville is a nice piece I'm just saying unless you plan on doing it large or have a need for that much power I personally would place my emphasis on musicianship rather than being loud. If your good people will seek you out, but if your to loud people might shut you out, prolific but true.

I hear you. I actually bought that Yorkville due to an incredible deal (less than $350) that I just could not pass up. 500w is actually all I would ever need. I'm actually looking to trade that monster in for one of those new 'micro' bass amps like a Markbass LMII or a similar 500w micro amp!

Thanks. Can you tell me who the manufacturer is?

Dude, I was ready to sell the GK for a minute when I tried that Markbass F1.  500W, and a super small profile.  I could have put that thing in my gig bag EASILY!  I was amazed!  A good choice for those looking to travel as light as possible.  Make sure you try one, I actually liked it more than the LMII.

And like M5P said... if you can get Eden used, DO IT.

One thing that I must clarify right quick some. More watts doesn't necessarily mean more volume. More volume comes with more cone surface area. I may have upwards of 1000 watts bridge towards my 410 cab, but Main5Playah has an extra cone which is more surface area, and will be louder than me if we were to play side by side. I learned this info from users in the Eden forum.

definitely. its more surface area you pushin. my 4x10 cab gets the full 700watts because its 4ohms but if i hooked up 2 8ohm 4x10 cabs to get the same 700watts i would get way more volume because im moving more air because i have more surface area. (i just didnt feel like payin for 2 cabs. LOL. plus i dont have the room)

Are you forced to go through the house? if not, get your rig and use it. My equipment is mine, and if I don't feel that your house system can produce the sound I'm looking for or can't handle it, I won't plug into it. Thanks my opinion.
