I'm watching Dr. Phil, so this is hypothetical in the sense that it doesn't pertain to me, but I'm sure it's real for somebody, somewhere...
There's a young lady on there (16 yo) who has a history of being a pathelogical liar. She has been proven to falsely accuse her biological father of physically abusing her, and has told countless other lies as well. When she came to her mother & stepfather's house to flee her "abusive" father (which was later proven to be a lie), she began breaking all the rules of the house, so her stepfather went military on her and laid out some very strict rules. I mean VERY strict... I thought I had the market cornered on excessive strictness, but this dude makes me look like Lucy Lenient... lol.
Anyway, now she's accusing him of sexually molesting her. He vehemently denies it. Her mother, although she did take the correct steps to remove her daughter from any possible danger, believes that her daughter is doing this to get back at the stepfather, just like she did with her biological father.
What on earth is a parent to do in a situation like that???
