In that is the case, then none of us are worthy to function in the church. We ALL have sins. Yes even your pastor is a sinner. Just because people hide thier sins, doesnt make them any better than someone whos sins are more aparent. If its not one sin its another. Yall negroes talk like yall dont ever sin.

Slow down, man.  READ my post.  I said sin PRACTICERS.  There IS a difference.

Ok ... is the person who started the post allowed to end it? That would be me. PLEASE!!!!!!! Lord A' Mercy! That's enough on the subject I think. We went around in a bunch of circles and came back to point A like in philosophy class.

No one made any points that I didn't expect them to make except the one about RuPaul not being gay, but nevermind. I also didn't expect there to be such a gray area about whether someone is gay or not. It's neither here nor there now.

I am actually the poster child and the biggest proponent of loving the sinner and disliking the sin and restoring each one. Anyway the original post was about order in the church. It morphed into this ugly discussion about fashion and style, a man's affectations, what's a real man, and I put my personal business out in the street to a bunch of people I don't know.

My final point is: If someone is already in the homosexual lifestyle and comes to church of course we want them there so they can be ministered to BUT it's sad state of affairs when young people are influenced to go towards that lifestyle BY the people they hang out with at church. We want them there too but the church is accountable for leading them astray. Some strongholds are greater than others.

Let's all read Romans 3, the whole chapter. "...let God be true, and every man a liar" Why don't we ask God what he thinks?

Thats called "thread jacking". we have a habit of hi-jacking peoples threads and thinking anything of it.
Overall, I think we had a pretty good discussion.

I hear you, but there are still people in ministry who "practice" sins in private, but nobody sees it, so its all good.

And I'm out. for now

Though this thread was hijacked, I believe that some strong points were made by brother Herm and littlelamb. First off much respect to the both of them for letting the lord use their delieverance as a testimony for others who are struggling with all manners of sexual sin. We must remember that satan loves that we segregate sexual sins because he can continue to lead other generations of people down that perverse path. I for one struggled with sexuality. I was propositioned by men and nearly fell among the thieves of homosexuality but thanks be to GOD!! I know all to well what Herm is saying... The world's definition of of man has been poorly defined in the church as well!! To get over the shame of being propositioned, I became a professional fornicator.... Let's tell the truth brothers. Many of us have used sex with women as a means to ease our minds of the confusion of why some "gay dude" wanted to get with us...

The black and world community still holds on to the black stud as the most desired sexual experience. The validation that people seek is preyed upon by the "recruiters" of homosexuality.(men and women) Instead of people finding our self-worth in God, Parents, and healthy community relationships, people find their self-worth in possessions, positions and sexual prowess. This especially reigns true in the black community. That's why JL king made so much money. It wasn't that he exposed anything. The gay community knew about the DL for years. The hook was that Black men who were believed to be so manly in sports, sex and other physical attributes could be gay!!! It is people like Herm and littlelamb who are highly coveted in GOD's kingdom!!!

Their words and sentiments can spark true change in people's lives. I pray that you two get in the flow of the lords anointing over your lives so that you may get about the business of driving demons!!!! I feel that bruh... I really do.. Transparency is what the Lord desires of us..... I'm so sick of these weak and sinful church leaders hiding behind their own sin thus blocking the true delieverance of the massess... I wish Jesus would hurry and comeback.. >:(

Why do we always have to be out of order? Case in point: I went to a gospel choir concert this past weekend. Where I'm from gospel choirs are like street gangs. They have concerts so they can out-sing each other and they actually have rivalry and everything.

Here's how it went:

1) It started late, of course. I got there when it was supposed to start. Actually got there late on purpose and sat for 45 minutes.
2) When it was time to start none of the choirs that were supposed to sing were there. So, the person in charge sang a solo to waste time. And then another person sang a solo and then another person sang a solo.
3) There was no sound guy. There was so much feedback it was ridiculous.
4) They had wayyyyy too many choirs on the schedule. For one, y'all behind because you started late and then there's like 10 different groups who are supposed to sing.
5) I kept seeing people snacks. I thought they were going to the corner store but when I left I saw a glass case with drinks in it and snacks.
6) One of the leaders got up and said "Some of my choir members are outside" so I'm gonna start anyway.
7) The choir members who were outside came in during the middle of the song and got up to sing like nothing. Tacky!!!
8) They kept changing out band members for each group which is fine. But they were coming up in the middle of someone else's song to set up. Y'all couldn't chip in to get 2 keyboards and a drums set that everyone could use for the night.
8) Why we gotta be so loud? Loud does not equal anointing. It doesn't even equal intensity. More people doesn't mean a better sound. It just means more LOUD. It also means that we can't understand what you're saying. Isn't the point of gospel music the message.
9) People kept adding stuff into their songs like, "I know y'all ready to go home but ..." and "I know it's getting late but ..." and then kept singing. If you know it's getting late then wrap the song up and sit down.
10) It looked like a RuPaul convention. I've never seen so many effeminate boys at one event. Why do they gravitate to the church choir?

My spirit was grieved. I don't know about anyone else. I'm sure God was either laughing or even worse crying.

Very insightful. Thanks for your words of encouragement for me and Herman. I think that my point (which I didn't bring across well) was, that we have to be really, really careful about who our young people are influenced by AT CHURCH. My biggest concern is the youth and the kids going out into the world unprepared and ill-equipped. I think we are ready for people that come out of the world into church because we see them as outsiders and already expect them to be sinning. We put our guards down when it comes to the evil that is at church already.

It happened to me by a girl and no one over thinks of girls as molesting other girls. My parents were super duper protective and we were sheltered. You can't save your child from every single thing but thank God for his grace. You can't completely hand over trust to anyone even people at church. That doesn't mean don't trust people but let them earn your trust and give them a chance to let you earn yours.

Four pages and counting. Now that the whole gay issue has been brought into the conversation, i foresee this thread running 8 or more pages.   :-\

I outgrew those concerts and musicals a long time ago.  In Atlanta, I would go just to show my support and drop off my offering, then, I'd BOUNCE.
