For me it would matter if you're in ministry (in my Church) or not. If you are up on the stage every Sunday ministering then I would have a problem and say something to you. Or get the Pastors to deal with it... But if you are just a regular Jo then I leave it up to you and Jesus.

OK See i have a problem with this. Those who are ministering on stage and whatnot WERE Regular Joes that God called. I think it is a mistake for people to disregard normal the so-called "pew-warmers."

We need to be holistic when it comes to dealing with issues like this in the church. EVERYONE, regardless of whether or not they minister should be called out and talked to if they are living a lifestyle outside of God's will.

This is one of the reasons there is so much sin in the church; we have "pew-warmers"going around thinking that its OK to sin cuz they are not ministering. People seem to forget that God is very personal and is no respecter of persons.

But my intent was to see if anyone would say that they would come to me (remember i said if u know me some kinda way) and say:

Ash... now girl u know better and u know this is wrong.. but God is ......blah blah blah...

And im asking that because im really tryin to understand how we are suspose to lift each other and help each other if everytime someone falls into a trap and gets set back we are scared to help them because we wanna call it judging.

If i was going through this or anything else.... i would hope they would pick me up and remind me ....girl u wrong... dont sugar coat it for fear of judging... u just tellin me ... it is what it is... and love me enough to tell me to get it together...and pray.. Ministering or not it should at least be addressed... and what the heck is a regular joe... just call them members or something... because everyone doesnt need a platform to minister... ur everyday life should be a ministry. So if im fornicating... i cant be a light in the work place or the pulpit... until i get that thing corrected

I believe what he meant was people who hold such positions as ministers seem to have a higher form of influence on others than the "regular" church people.  But you are right, God has no respect of persons so why should we.  We are all on the same level in God's sight, we are just vessels to be used for His glory.

It depends on how much I loved you... If I really, reallllllly loved you I would consistently stay after you in "love" becuase I cared for your soul and wouldn't want you to end up in hell.

If I offended you in love, I would apologize, if not on this side then in heaven, hopefully we would both be there and my persistence helped.

If I didn't offend you or care enough about your soul to stay after you then I may have to try to send an apology note to the other side for not helping loving you enough to care about your soul's salvation....

I would minister to you once (maybe twice if there's something I forgot to say the first time around).

As a personal rule, I don't believe in beating people over the head with the Bible.  I hope that my life will say more than my words will.  I try to draw with lovingkindness, not with judgment or preaching with "enticing words."

And what I like most about me (lol)... I wouldn't look at you any differently.  You're just a woman who loves the Lord and hasn't put her flesh under subjection yet.

I wouldnt say anything. You know what you are doing is wrong, and you are a grown *** woman, its not my place to tell a grown woman what to do in her sex life, esp. when she already knows its wrong.

Not everyone who is doing wrong realizes automatically the severity of their issue. Before I got married, I was whored around, and would give anything to have some tell my grown *** (as you so eloquently put it) that I should NOT be behaving this way. As a Chritian, it is our place to admonish our brothers and sisters when we see them doing something outside of the will of God. Its has nothing to do with telling them about their sex life, but everything to do with their LIFE in CHRIST. So if YOU want to turn your head and act as though you dont see your brother or sister doing wrong, then you too are operating outside of the will of God. The operative word is accountability, and once you know, then you are accountable.

Everybody on this site knows somebody who is having sex out of wedlock, and I doubt most of them are going to confront all of thier friends and aquaintances and talk to them about how they are living in sin.
Maybe if I were thier spiritual mentor, then I would, but otherwise, I'd just get a bunch of screw faces from them.

And again, yes, we all know someone who may be having sex out of wedlock, but it is still our job as the church to help to put them on the right track. WE cannot change anyone... but God has equipped each and every one of us to be a witness to our brothers and sisters who may back slide every once in a while. So who do consider "brothers and Sisters"? To me It all depends what kind of relationship you have with the person. If it is somone who I'm cool with then ok. But I'm not gonna go to work or somewhere and start pointing out the immoral things people do.

I didnt know this person from a can of paint. But that didnt make their responsibility to share a word from God with me any less.

Let's just say... that I am someone you know...
Whether it be in passing or a closer relationship....The relationship would determine how I would approach the person.
And some way shape or form you find out that I have been in a consistant sexual relationship with someone that I am not married to....
What would you do in response to what you learned?
Or would u do nothing and shrug your shoulders and keep it moving?

There are no one size fits all answers. I could not approach you in a way that I would not want you to approach me. If I already KNOW something is wrong, I don't need anyone to REMIND me that it's wrong.
What's the point?

Since we are all different, we will view and approach this situation differently. Is there ONE right approach?
 
This issue comes up in our bible study very often. Some people are "in your face", others are not.

I would keep it moving. If the person knows the word and is doing that then it's between them and God and its none of my business..Now, If they don't know I would put out there and once again it's on them.

You'd pose that question AFTER reading the Out of Order post?  The answer's simple. POSE IT ON LGM AND EXPECT JUDGMENT TO REIGN.  Of course in most cases since it's with the opposite sex you're probably safe. Lol.
