I absolutely do NOT think it's okay at all.

My sister-in-law has hundreds, literally hundreds, of these DVDs.  She buys 3-4 of them every week, and other than that, she is one of the most "righteous" people I know.  We discuss this often, and it appears she has no intention of changing any time soon.

I repeat, I absolutely do NOT think it's okay at all.

Do you know how many 'holy' church mothers I see rocking blatently fake LV?

Some of the fake stuff they got now, looks so real that the people working at the store dont even know its fake. My friend got a fake coach bag as a gift, the strap broke, she took it to the coach store, and they fixed for FREE.

I own three REAL Louis bags, and two Pradas. My DB, Gucci, and Coach are replicas, but they cost serious benjamins. I think it depends on where you get them from... Swap meet, or from a person that actually specializes in replicas.

I bought this weird bag from Neimanns (Prada), and used it as a drumstick bag.

The Louis that I have one is a small purse, one is a backpack, and the other is a grandma purse.... But look almost identical to my replicas, and those three real ones combined cost about $2400...

Funny how you now refer to it as a "replica."   :D :D :D :D

Not to make excuses for them, but some of those church mothers may not even know there's such a big industry in selling bootleg stuff, so they don't realize they're buying fake stuff on the street... and if you don't know it's wrong, is it really wrong?  I remember aaaaaages ago, my mother bought a fake MGM bag and my sister was just fussin and fussin and fussin...  :D :D :D  My mom hadn't known that it was fake, nor did she know that people actually made fake designer bags and sold them in malls.  :D

OK so i gotta ask this. A friend of mine had her 21st and she gave everyone a CD of her favorite songs. Was this wrong? Is she bootlegging the songs?

How about when you are asked to play in church and someone makes a CD copy for you? Is this boot-legging?

Unless she paid for each and every song, then it is stolen. My friend had that done, she had a company do it, who knows if they paid the proper copyight fees or not.

Yep thats stealing too. The pastor at the church I play for wont even accept copies. He goes and buys the original.

I read somewhere that it's only illegal if you sell whatever you stole/ripped.

Not saying that makes it okay, but...

Also, I can't stand fake products such as fake Jordans, LV's, Prada's, or whatever. It's so tacky. I wouldn't even feel right wearing something I knew was fake. I saw someone with a shirt on once that had "STOP WEARING FAKE STUFF!" in big bold letters.

...Well, it didn't say "Stuff"...it said another word for "Stuff" which I dare not repeat.  :D

But still, some should take heed to those shirts. Maybe even buy one.

...The one that says "Stuff", of course.

Just my two Lincolns.
