Hey Ladybass, I'm looking forward to your detailed review of the Bootcamp. But I had a quick question. Did you fly to the camp, and if you did how did you transport your bass? Did you check it in? Carry it on?

Steel ... I am only 2 hrs away, so I drove.  One of the attendees did tell me that his bass was too big to carry-on.  I believe he also said that because of this, he uses his hard case.  I hope that helped.

Ladybass I am glad you had an opporutnity to go and gain the experience. I am going to try and time it next year to where I am up in that area. I am from NJ and have a brother and sister in PA so hopefully I can eliminate some of that extra cost I would normally have for travel.
May God's Grace & Mercy smile upon you!

This interview with Gerald Veasley should give you a pretty good idea of what happens @ the camp:  http://www.instituteofbass.com/bass_events/

T-MOST ... you described it perfectly ... "a great experience" ... now you know I didn't get much sleep ... after the Jam session, I walked down the hall and low (pun intended) and behold there were some campers & night owl instructors jammin ... so I joined in for a bit ... I think I got about 8 hrs of sleep between those 3 days   ;D
