My dads was a very nice, it was a black&white light marble color with chrome.  My brother wanted a $10,000.00 casket and my mom gave him the  >:( ::) :-\ looks and asked was he paying for it, and he said no, and she said well shut up then we're going with this one.

And yes, them sprays and thangs are outta control.  That's another way to cut down on cost, don't order so many flowers.  And don't go buying no new clothes, get something out of the closet, take it to the cleaners if ya have to, and call it a day.

Personally, I don't want new clothes for my funeral.  I want to be buried in my own clothes. I am blessed to have a closet full of very nice clothes, and I'm sure my family can find something in there to dress me in.  Actually, if I die any time soon, I already have the suit, shoes, and accessories picked out... lol.

Call it silly, but I would like to have a very nice casket...  :-\

I've already done my own program and obituary, and my family knows that if they don't use it, I'll come back and haunt them.  :D I hate typos and grammatical or spelling errors, and I never trust anyone to do any print work as well as I would (except my Mom, but she'd be distraught with grief... lol).  :-\
When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.

I want a nice casket to, but I don't want one that cost a whole lotta money. Speaking of caskets and cutting cost, does anybody know if it is a price difference between the ones that the lid opens half way and the ones that open fully.

As for the program, my friends grandmother died a few years ago, so her aunt did the program, and boy was it a mess.  There were typo's, pictures, not centered, just a complete mess.

Oh, another way to cut cost, is if you have someone (other than the funeral home) go do the make-up and hair (or buy a wig for the ladies).
If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be!!!
