The Ultimate Life Challenge!
« on: March 26, 2008, 12:34:10 PM »
I would like to challenge every believer to read through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation at least one time in your lifetime.  I gurantee that you will be throughly blessed.  I've read through Genesis and now I am in the middle of Exodus.

I took upon this challenge not to just brag that I did it or to add something to my resume.  However, I took upon this challenge in order to get more of God in my spirit.  Yes. Thats right.  I want to get more of Him in me because God is His word and His Word is Him.  Therefore, if I read His Word, I will get more of Him in me.  I will know how He thinks; how He acts; and more of His personality.  Therefore, I would not dare die without at least reading the entire Word of God throughout.

This will be a wonderful challenge for those who are a musician for the Lord.  What an ultimate worship experience.  What a way to know how to worship God.

Therefore, please let me know if you are going take this ultimate challenge.  I hope that you will. (cool)

Happy Reading!  :)

That's the first thing I did when I got saved.  And yes, it was a blessing to me.  Now, I think I need to go through it again and study this time, LOL.

It's the best feeling ever..
I remember when I'd even cover about 3 books a night when I was in the shorter books..
& the more 1 comes back to it, the more revelation & appreciation 1 receives from it..

I know of a man who says he reads from Gen-Rev on a year on year basis..

I'm also thinking of doing that..not just to read it as a novel, but to get a better insight into each part of our Ultimate Constitution.

As I am starting my venture combined with the knowledge I have, it has become a blessing to me and I've only made it to Exodus.  :)

I hear you on that. I wish you well.  I did that some time ago. I once had the goal of reading the Bible cover to cover in different versions. (e.g. Amplified, The Message, NASB, etc.) I may do that just to get more perspective and more word in me.  Right now, I'm focusing on getting the correct addresses in the Bible. Meaning, I can quote much scripture but if someone asked where they could find it, I would be hard-pressed the majority of the time.

Keep us posted on your progress, Saxman.

I knew there was something I forgot to do! :-\ I started to read the Bible through a while back, but I stopped and haven't picked up again. I believe I made it to Leviticus last time. I will probably have to start from scratch this time.  :-\
I won't take nothing for my journey now. No turnin' back, no turnin' back.

That's my point. He did that too. But you always "hear" about that or "see" it dramatized.

the tongue thing, is in Mark 7:32.

Could u imagin tha scene:

Buddy: Lord! Here is my friend that cant speak or hear! can you help him?

Jesus: Hm? Oh sure, no prob. But not in front of these folk..lets go over here.

Buddy: uh, ok.....but why--

Jesus: HHHHAAAAAAAAAAAWKKKKKKK

Buddy: oh, man........ahhhh dang bruh.....
