God will be God and His Will will always come to pass, no matter what any one believes (with the exception of His Holy Word), writes, try to change, doesnt matter what we say, what we think, or even what we may deem to be true.
And because of this we all who are Christians need to be encouraged and spread the Word of salvation to get people saved. We dont have to press people, but make sure they get the message of salvation and it is only through Jesus they can be saved from what God has prepared for those who dont accept His Way in Jesus (John 14:6)
I was thinking this morning on how good God is, despite the many flaws I have, and realizing that the last days may be upon us, yet know one knows the hour or the time Jesus will call us home, but I'm happy to know that it could be soon; could be 50, 100, 1000 years from now (though my personal opinion is we dont have a thousand years)
Why?
We are seeing signs of the times just as Jesus predicted it:
Men lovers of themselves
False beliefs and teachings on the rise (see Oprah, Polygamist, etc)
And thousands of people being duped by these false teachings,
Children rising up against their parents (had to deal with my boy thinking he's the man in the house at 13)
Wars and rumors of wars.
etc,
Jesus said the begining of the end has started when we begin to witness these things,
so what we are to do, we are to look up, be encouraged, spread the Word even more, make every effort to encourage those in our family, on the jobs, our peers, who dont know Jesus to get saved.
Lets think, and look at PART ONE of SEVEN i would like to post! Talking about who and what we really worship!
Hundreds of thousands of people has spent literally thousands, to greet, meet, and be blessed by the Pope this week, dont get me wrong, he is to be respected, my problem is, some of us as Christians, even some of these people, havent spend a real hour with Jesus this year, when its so convenient and easy to do, just say to Him "Jesus, I need to talk with You"
yes, its that simple, if you have a relationship with Him, if not, then He will hear you, if your a sinner wanting to repent, other than that, John 9:31 says God doesnt hear sinners, not that He dont hear you, but wont acknowlege what you are saying as a result of your rejection of Him...hmmm, plain and simple, Its like this, try not coming to work for three months, and then ask the boss for your check, for those three months and demand a raise, lets see how far you get with that!. Same scenario with God being the one in control.
I have a grave problem when we "idolize" and "worship" people in place of the One who actually has ALL the control over EVERYTHING! Yes some of us have put our pastors, family members, spouses, children, bosses, MONEY, and other stuff in the place where God should be, and in essence we made these people and things our LORD! This is why Oprah has such a following, because people want to be like her, idolize her and want her power and the money and the fame, when they dont realize that God has the power to wipe her and all that she has out in seconds, I dare Oprah to come on here and to read this and have the audacity to say God can't touch what she has, because He aint in control. I DARE HER!, I mean I remember talking to a lady after we both acknowlege we were saved, she talked about her church and pastor like they were both elite gods, nothing about her walk with the Lord, all I heard was her church does this, and that, and this, and that, as if to say the other churches are all wrong, especially after i told her a few things we do at church.
We also sometimes un-knowingly worship our denomations, and our churches. Oooh this is a touchy one. But lets be real here, you have some Pastors, Bishops, and so forth, wont even come and preach to a so call small church even though they've been invited hundreds of times, there are denominational squabbles everywhere, sickening the heart of God, where some of us feel that our certain denomination is better than the other, we may not say it, but we act it out by what we do and in retrospect what we dont do.
We also sometimes worship tradition, yep, uh huh, you know we do. I see it so clearly, and I know others do, but are afraid to speak out about it, we have to dress a certain churchy way with the big brimmed hats, fancy dresses, freshest suits, all of that, and when a person walk into church that not "traditionally dressed" we tend to slight them, even if we subtley do it, i mean, isnt the life and that soul coming to Christ matter, despite what they are wearing? but we seldom miss the boat on this. Now Im not saying we are not to look good, of course we are, but it should be a pre-requisite for making a person feel like they dont belong, after all this is the Prime reason Jesus came lowly as He did. We may not openly do this but like I said, we often time act it out with a look, a snicker, a frown, and what ever bodily language we may engage in to make a person feel inferior., but i garauntee you this, if Warren Buffet was to knowingly walk into your church on Sunday, 80-90% of the ushers would usher him to the best seat they can find, might even have an announcement in church, i'll bet that there might be a hard sell and cry for money too! (sad, but true)
Look, im not saying anything that some of us havent already thought about, its reality. But God cares little about denominations, dont care if your COGIC, Baptist, Catholic, whatever, what God sees is His children who have sincerely accepted Jesus, spending time to know Him, spreading His gospel to thos who dont know Him, and living according to the Word, the other classification is those who have not acceopted this which are sinners who need Him, thats what He sees, no grey area.
Lets be encouraged and put God back where He should be thats FIRST! REALLY! FIRST! The quicker we can come together as a REAL BODY and tackle real issues, I know once God sees us together and being all about Building His kingdom, and living the Word, oh how much we would change and have the hand of God at our disposal, remember a few things Jesus said in one of my favorite passages of scripture, in John 15:7
"If ye abide(live) in me, and My words abide(is lived out) in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you."
Now just imagine if we get pass all the hoopla and tradition of church and come together all accross the world as a body of believers, despite the our denominational preferences, and put God first, and abide in Him, imagine all of us asking according to what God want...SCARY FOR THE ENEMY.
THINK!!
