This is how you compose, this is how you listen, this is how you communicate, this is how you set a theme, this is how you entertain the crowd and the musicians... this is how you drive the bus. Musicality meets chops meets showmanship.

Ay, broham - this thang (has) been posted thrice (http://www.learngospelmusic.com/forums/index.php/topic,46868.0.html, http://www.learngospelmusic.com/forums/index.php/topic,48617.0.html, http://www.learngospelmusic.com/forums/index.php/topic,55138.0.html)!!!

With that said, I wanna attend his drum camp.  Who('s) goin'?    ;D

I want to go so bad. If I had the four fifty, I'd hit it with a vengeance.

I've seen this clip before, but I can never see enough of Mr. Emory. That was one meaty solo. And his beech's sounded nooiiiicccee.
My goal as a musician is to be better than myself.

I own this DVD. There's so much to learn in this DVD about how to have presence in the music without being overbearing and overplaying. Overall, this music is timeless. It never gets old. That should be our goal every time we sit behind our instruments. To play the music in a way that not just musicians, but also and more importantly, the general audience can appreciate and feel. That's why EWF has been around longer than most of us have been alive. I love this video!

I own it myself! You are right, we should strive for those timeless performances.

Ay, you know what?  I think that I have this on CD.  I still have the CD, but I don't have the liner notes anymore.  I do remember that I bought it in 1998.
