I think it is a valid issue. Ive seen alot of churches go through this, albeit on much smaller levels. Nonetheless, they do have a hard time keeping good musicians; not to mention having to resort to hiring more unchurched musicians.

So why am I playing for free? j/k

Is money the real reason why churches cant find musicians? Or is it due to lack of sufficiently qualified persons?

I think both are major problems. Many churches have No music budget. Maybe some of these churches need to learn how to manage thier money, or just stop being cheap.

And it is aparently extremely hard to find a musician who can read music, teach a choir, Manage the music dept, work well with people isnt a homosexual and can kill it on the keys. So now we have the issue of churches accepting anybody with some skills, despite thier lifestyle, attitude etc

I've seen churches with 4 or 5 musicians who could all be MOMs. And in even larger chuches, I've seen more than 12 organist play in one night. So I really have no Idea whats goin on. It seams like all these musicians are going to larger churches who can afford an army of musicians, and not the RnB world.

Be leary of what the media says about us. Yall know how they love to make Christians look bad. And on top of that we are black men, so they will do anything to make us look like we have no skills or values. which sadly, is often true...
