I have one of these. It's really useful, goes straight into USB and the sound comes out quite clean. There are alot of amp models on the software that comes with it and you can mess around with the settings to get your ideal sound. I'm still trying to perfect my own custom amp. It can be used with any other recording programs.

Great job, but if you can receive some constructive criticism, the volume was a bit low, heard you mostly on the slaps and pops.
Also, try and spread your fingers a bit more, like one finger per fret your fingers on your fretting hand are really close together.
The second video was a bit dark, perhaps your camera has a mic input if it does you could get a mic and put it near the cab.
Looking forward to hearing more from you. I need to get my camera fixed so I can contribute. Nevertheless, i hope my comments

Good input .  I was wondering when someone was going to bring those things up

I don't think the volume thing is anything I can fix right now.  Mainly due to the fact that I live in an apartment building and can only turn up so loud.  The camera isn't a very expensive model, so While it's blasting in my place (and I do mean it's pretty loud) the camera only picks up so much.  If I turn up the bass anymore I'll probably start getting security coming up here and hounding me all the time 
The solution to this would be me being able to plug directly into the camera, but I haven't figured that one out without the video going on...LOL.  I do have a mic though, so I'll try micing the cab next.

About the fingers.
I actaully do use one finger per fret, but keep my fingers like that to help mute and navigate around.  I've actaully found that I get a more fluid movement by moving my wrist more (i'm a classically trained piano player, so I'm guess it's written in my soul to move my wrist alot as I play). Plus my fingers and wrist don't feel strained vs when I tried to keep things spread more apart since I have big palms, but  short fingers.

the light thing I think is a camera problem as well, but i'll try a couple of different things to try and figure it out.

When are you going to bless us with some clips of that MTD?  And if you ever sell it I'm claiming first dibs!!

When I checkout the many video's on youtube, sight, sound and technique are all the things I watch for. The lighting on the first video post was great.
As in most things there is always trial and error. On technique I did notice your spacing spread out a bit on some of the run. I am technique hound and
although people say practice makes perfect, I believe perfect practice makes perfect, I'm not saying this applies only to you, I have seen people work
on learning a lick, and be out of position for what comes next especially on stuff with 16ths and triplets. Anyway, I expect your whole package to get better.
My MTD, I guess your talking about the one in my avatar, that one is special, but so are the other MTD's, Skjold's and Nordy. I am retaining gear a lot longer
these days. Just as the Lord does us. Tried, Tested and Accepted when we please Him.

You can get a 'Soundblaster' sound card (either external or internal) for about $60 to $70.  I actually picked up a used internal SB card for $20 in order to add a midi connection to my pc.  However, I still use the external one for everything else including interfacing my pc with a surround sound receiver for high volume playback. It just seems to sound better than through the internal card.

You would also need recording software which you can get for about $30 and up.  I use 'Sony Acid', but I'm sure there are other programs even better.  You can get both of  these items at any 'Bestbuy' or 'Circuit City'.  BTW, GC is probably not the best place to shop if you're looking for a low end solution.  Just my opinion.
