Wouldn't it be great......
« on: May 18, 2008, 09:20:50 PM »
if everyone could go home from church satisfied --
both physically and spiritually? That is not going to happen unless we
let Jesus be the center of what we do!
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;  Colossians 3:23

Hmmm....you got me thinking too sis...... Isn't satisfaction relative? Can we really enjoy absolute satisfaction? is satisfaction a function of contentment,or vice versa?

Hmmm you got me thinking too bro, of course satisfaction is relative inasmuch as we are all individuals. In this context, i think contentment and satisfaction are interchangeable but in light of a the original question, can there be a general peace of mind and a soothing tranquil on the way home from church instead of the stressed or unfulfilled yearn? My response...Yes. If we let Jesus be the center of our lives and let love rule in our lives.
Why do bad people happen to good things?

Hmm you got me thingking (not a typo, its a short way of saying i am thinking about a "thing" ;D)

Big issue i have found is that people-my self included- as a day of indolence rather than rest. Sunday is the Sabbath and if we set our minds to Holy Rest that involves resting from our issues and human businesses, and focus on study of the Word, then we wouldn't be so satisfied.

Immediately offering is over, benediction said, and Grace recited, folks start to immediately think of what they want to do after Church. If we set our mind to going home, changing from our church clothes and sitting down with our family to read, reflect and study the Word, then we wouldn't feel so dissatisfied after church service.

Rest does not mean laziness-which is a sin- but the Rest of God means resting from our activities and focusing on God.
The car, job, house wife/husband are not the reward, God is.
