Roland PK-5A
« on: May 27, 2008, 08:25:54 PM »
I just recently bought the Roland PK-5A which are foot pedals for keybards that can work as a foot controller or foot pedals, like an organ. Does anyone use this at their church or for concerts? I really got it to work on my foot pedal agility for when I play organ, I figured it was cheaper than buying an organ. Anyone had luck with this product?

Yes, I have the PK-5 (499.00) and I love them for home practicing in my Hammond B3 mode. I tried them in a outdoor church service and they worked well. I also purchased a volume pedal to simulate raising and lowering the volume for organ playing. Was a bit of a test, the Roland pedals with this feature is over 1200.00. It's best to play these pedals without shoes ( wear tube socks) so that you don't break them by steping too hard when playing. MIne are still working great after 4 years.

I love music, any kind of music.

My only complaint is that its harder to do "diagonal heel-toe" movements.

How do midi foot pedals work anyway?  What do they control? Do they come with the organ bass pedal sounds already?

So your keyboard/module has to have that "organ foot pedal sound"?
