I though all mirrors were the same...

Apparently not. I have looked at three different mirrors today and am getting three different results. I don't get it! I'm still wearing the same clothes and everything so why the difference in results?  ?/?

I mean, this morning i looked at the mirror in my bathroom and i looked pretty decent. Then i get to work and we have a full-length mirror and i looked like i just stepped out of the cover of GQ  ;D. For lunch, i went to a Subway with highly reflective doors and i almost called the police cuz i thought i was being stalked by Freddy from the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

What gives with these mirrors? Can't they make up their minds?  ?/? ?/? ?/?

Maybe it was the lighting. Did you get dressed in the dark?

Come to think of it, it MAY be the lighting. If that is the case, then that means i look horrible in normal sunlight...and i had no clue this whole time? :(

No, you're right.  Mirrors are different.  It has to do with lighting and the mirror itself.  Department store mirrors are tweaked and angled, and under just the right light to give you the most appealing reflection.  I think the Subway door was the least accurate, because it's probably not really meant for the purpose of grooming, and you'd probably come out kind of frumpy and distorted looking.

The mirrors at Subway were made so that everyone thinks that they need to go on the "Subway Diet" as they walk in.

Yep, they are different. 

I have one of those k-mart $5 mirrors... the long ones... and about a year ago I looked in it and was horrified! I looked super wide AND short-er!  Then I looked in the bathroom mirror, and bedroom mirror, and I looked normal... Thank God!!! WHEW!!!!

I don't know how I didn't realize that there was something wrong with that mirror before that.  But it's kind of subtle.... I'ts not like the Clown mirrors at the amusement park.   So now depending on how I feel, I decide to use, or not use that particular mirror.

While in Subway, you should have broken out with a verse or two of "Too Close to the Mirror"!
