I was waiting until I paid my full LGM membership fee so I can load the audio files, but I had to respond to Ramar.
In my opinion the 80's were the best time for me with the Winans. Now since that time they have had more hits, but the New Jack Swing stuff where Teddy Riley and R Kelly were executive producers was a different era of the Winans that I still feel it but can sound quite dated if you listen to it now.
Ramar the songs that touch me and that I would beg you and cas10a and anyone else who feels like posting are:
Slow to Medium Ballads
Finders keepers, Trust In God, Long Time Coming, Goodness Mercy and Grace, For We May Never Know, Bring back the Days of yea and nea, Everything you Touch (whenever you get a chance to finish Cas10a and thanks for Uphold Me)
Fast uptempo Songs
Restoration, If ever I fall, I believe, Let My people go
There are some more I will put them up when I remember them.
Ramar this is my question. As you go through and listen or play these songs when you are chording them out, don't these songs sound just as good today as they did when they first came out? Could these songs rock and move the crowd today if played live on Sunday Morning with a choir or a praise team?
